CRiSP is a powerful, visual text editor for development on Windows, Unix and
Linux platforms. Built in keyboard emulation modes for brief, vi, emacs, cua,
edt and wordstar give CRiSP a familiar feel from the very first use for
developers of all backgrounds. This means less time is spent learning new
keystrokes and more time programming.
In addition to it's easy-to-use interface, CRiSP includes many advanced features
that demanding professionals have come to expect in an advanced development
environment including: syntax highlighting, tagging, class browser, search and
replace, cut & paste, ftp file transfer, code beautifying, customizable toolbar,
template editing, hypertext help, etc.
CRiSP supports colorized development for many programming languages including C,
C++, AML, HTML, SAS, JAVA, TCL, VHDL, PERL, Verilog, Cobol, BASIC, LATEX, SQL
and many more. In addition, CRiSP is available for the following platforms: Sun
SunOS, LynxOS, Solaris [Intel, SPARC], Linux, HPUX, SCO, IBM-AIX, Univel, DEC
Alpha, Sequent, SGI, DGUX, BSDI, FreeBSD and Windows 95/NT.
INTERFACES include Visual for Windows95/NT and X/Motif, as well as Character for
Terminal, Xterm and DOS-Shell.
This all leads to an aesthetically pleasing user interface, which requires no
learning at all to get started. And this is all configurable and customizable.
CRiSP dynamic syntax coloring adds a new dimension to the coding cycle. You see
your code in a new light! Such trivial issues as blocks of code accidentally
being commented out are a thing of the past because your eyes now tell you
something is wrong.
CRiSP is designed to avoid the need to learn yet another keyboard layout. It is
designed to be useful within minutes of starting the software and its
capabilities grow with your use of the product. It does not get in the way of
what you want to do and in fact offers facilities such as entirely mouse-driven
editing or entirely keyboard-driven editing.
