EasyClient for Windows (ezclient.exe) YOUR FREE EASYSPOOLER DEMONSTRATION COPY HAS ARRIVED! This demo version of EasySpooler allows you to explore the most powerful, comprehensive print management software in the Unix world. Use it to investigate all of EasySpooler's non- administrative features. The demo creates virtual printers which allow you to experiment with EasySpooler as much as you wish without any risk to your existing printing subsystem, even if you install it on your production server. If you should select one of the administration options, the routine explains what occurs in the licensed version. INSTALLING THE EASYSPOOLER DEMO To begin the installation process, change directories to /vendors/ezspool/demo on the CD and type: ./INSTALL.sh This installation process extracts the files and starts EasySpooler, so you may begin exploring it immediately. If you are running X-Windows on your Unix system, EasySpooler starts with its EasyClient graphical user interface. Otherwise it starts with its text menu interface.
TEST DRIVING EASYSPOOLER Whenever you need to start EasySpooler again, just move to the directory into which you installed the demo and type "./ez" on the command line. If you are running X-Windows, the system asks if you want to run the graphical user interface or the text menu. If you do not have X-Windows, EasySpooler starts automatically with the text menu. To print jobs to EasySpooler, just use its "llp" command, an expanded implementation of the Unix lp or lpr print commands. For example, you might enter ./llp -dDallas -n3 print_file where "-dDallas" instructs EasySpooler to print your job on the printer Dallas, "-n3" tells it to print three copies, and "print_file" is the name of the file you want to print. Consult the EasySpooler Demo manual for all the available printing command options.

EASYCLIENT The EasyClient software works with your EasySpooler demo to provide a Windows 9x, NT, or X-Windows graphical user interface. We invite you to install it on as many PCs as you wish. The only requirement is that your PCs must have network connections to your EasySpooler server. You may download the Windows 9x and NT version of EasyClient from our web site ( www.easyspooler.com ). It is a self-extracting, self-installing file. The EasyClient program for your Unix server is included in your demo software. The EasyClient manual is also a PDF document that you may download from the EasySpooler web site. GETTING HELP You will find most, if not everything, you need to experiment with the EasySpooler demo in the two manuals, EasySpooler Demo and EasyClient.
