Allegrix provides a complete range of services to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) enabling them to enter the Application Service Provider (ASP) marketplace.

By web-enabling an ISVs application without an expensive and time consuming rewrite and providing state-of-the-art hosting facilities, Allegrix enables the ISV to test the viability of offering their application in a rental or subscription model with minimal expense or risk.

Services offered include web-enabling of UNIX, NT, Client/Server and Legacy applications, Application Hosting and a complete line of related support services, including a 24x7 support desk, daily onsite/offsite data backup and 24x7 hardware monitoring and support. We provide all operating system licenses and purchase all hardware required to support the number of hosted users.

Our data centers are on a nationwide, business-to-business fiber network. Each data center works on a N+1 model where each piece of equipment has a hot standby, for automatic fail-over, and a spare situated in place. Each data center is monitored by their own network operations center (NOC) while a corporate NOC monitors the complete network.

Through arrangements with our hosting partners we can facilitate the cross-licensing of applications through our electronic application catalog. The ISV of note has the ability to offer their customers web access to other ISV's applications (worked out in advance between the associated ISVs)and office productivity tools such as web e-mail and faxing.

For hosting and web-enabling Allegrix charges a per user, per month fee for every named user accessing the application. Billing is through the ISV allowing the ISV to mark up the cost to the end-user and maintain their exclusive end-user relationship.

There are a number of key benefits to centralized hosting. First, centralized hosting reduces the total cost of ownership of an IT solution by minimizing the need for local on-site support. Second, Internet hosting dramatically improves remote access by allowing users to connect to centralized data and applications from any telephone or Internet connection. Third, hosting simplifies and speeds deployment of new users, new applications and application upgrades. Finally, software rental reduces up-front capital expenditures and significantly increases the predictability of IT costs.
