Telcordia™ Network Engineer, constructed using ESRI Arc/INFO and ArcFM™ technology, builds its core from the industry's leading Geographical Information System (GIS) software developer. Network Engineer integrates intelligent landbase data into the facility model bringing a new level of GIS functionality to the telecom enterprise, and supports fiber, copper, and coaxial network management to enhance facility data by building intelligence within maps.

Network Engineer gives telecommunications network providers the ability to design, document, and maintain inside plant/outside plant fiber, copper, and coaxial networks. Network Engineer is designed to manage traditional and cutting-edge transport technologies and network architectures using the latest in GIS-based functionality, coupled with refined and proven telephony engineering expertise. Network Engineer allows storage of intelligent network data, actual location, and the topography of network elements to build a common repository for use by other systems and processes, such as service delivery and service assurance applications.
