Database Security

Protegrity, Inc.

Secure.Data

Protegrity is an information-security company that provides technology to selectively target and protect confidential information within databases. Protegrity's solution is the only system that secures information at the data-item level, providing unparalleled protection for Oracle Internet-based applications.

Secure.Data Selective Database Encryption-- Protegrity's Secure.Data™ works as a security plug-in to Oracle8 database environments, implementing column-level encryption and role-based access control for stored information. Secure.Data lets organizations protect only what needs to be protected by encrypting user-specified portions of the database, thereby directly ensuring the security of critical corporate assets. Secure.Data operates in a distributed environment across various platforms and databases, including web-and Internet-enabled database applications.

Secure.Data includes 2 components:

Secure.Manager™ a central point of control for the administration of security policies. The administrator defines parameters such as user settings, data-access privileges, sensitive data items, and encryption alogrithms.

Secure.Server™ the active component that performs the real-time security processing and enforces the encryption and access control policies as defined in Secure.Manager.
