SatExpress™

SatExpress Network delivers up to 40 Mbps broadband multimedia on-demand over satellite to Local Area Networks (LANS) and desktop computers, enabling such applications as corporate training, video content, high speed internet access, database updates and mirror web sites. Use of the satellite eliminates distance as a cost factor producing significant cost savings over dedicated lines and providing scaleable, burstable capability with the installation of a small satellite dish. Standards based TCP/IP integrates seamlessly into corporate environments, intelligent buildings, hotels or Small Office/Home Offices (SOHO.)

SatExpress Network Operating Centers (NOC) are co-located with Tier 1 service providers and connected by dedicated lines to the local Network Access Point (NAP). nCube media servers using Oracle Video Server software are co-located to deliver up to 40,000 concurrent broadband video streams for video-on-demand, business training and video-enabled web pages.

Operating Systems
  • IP based platform interfaces with 10/100 base T Ethernet to LANs. Single users need Windows 98 + open expansion slot. Video and sound cards maximize system performance.
